Dear Les

Mom sent me the latest newsletter about the gradual re-opening of things at Clé du Cap. As you know, my mother-in-law is in a similar situation in Florida as she is living in an independent living facility. She has been in very similar circumstances and we have not been able to see her since March.  I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you for all you and your staff have done during these awful times.

We all flew in for Mom’s 90th Birthday and you all went out of your way to make her party so very special.  It was fortuitous that we had the party early because who knew at the time what was going to be unfolding with Covid and so soon at that!  We all treasure the time we had together as a family with her extended Cléé du Cap family.

Since then you have kept her informed and helped in every way possible to make the sudden clamp down of everything so much easier.  From organizing shopping through Pick and Pay with grocery delivery, to meals she could pick up when needed and finally allowing the hairdressers to return.  You and your staff have worked tirelessly to try to make the residents’ lives easier in every way possible.  You cannot imagine the peace of mind it offers us as we are so far away and often feel helpless.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring so much about her and the other residents.  I am sure you feel at times that what you do doesn’t seem to be enough to please everyone, but just know that what you do for her is immeasurable.

Stay healthy – and warm!

Hugs

Angie
